SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Draymond Green was “wrong” and “took it too far” when he put Minnesota's Rudy Gobert in a headlock, agreeing that the five-game suspension handed down by the NBA was deserved. “Draymond was wrong,” Kerr said Thursday before the Warriors' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. A game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors had barely begun, Tuesday night in San Francisco, when the rowdiest scene of the early NBA season unfolded. Just over a minute and a half into the contest, Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels and Golden State’s Klay Thompson, who had tussled for rebounding position, gripped and tore at one another’s jerseys at midcourt, spinning in circles as referees’ whistles blew. When Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves’ 7-foot-1 center, tried to pry them apart, Draymond Green—the Warriors’ ace defender and agitator—leapt onto Gobert’s back and clamped an arm around his neck.
